End Panic Attacks Now

My Personal Story of Struggle

Hello,

My name is James McHale, and thanks for visiting my End Panic Attacks Now website.

Two years ago I went through what you're probably going through right now, but I was able to end the panic attacks I was experiencing and have not had one for over a year.

The First One

 Fact #1

Over 50% of people with panic disorder develop it before the age of 24.

The first attack I had, was when I was doing a residency. I remember it happened on a Thursday morning in March during a department meeting.

I was suddenly gripped with fear, started sweating, and developed a lot of anxiety. After a few minutes of terror, I excused myself and went to the bathroom to calm down.

I didn't know what was going on! Was I having a heart attack?

I Blew It Off

As a guy, I blew it off and continued on, until I had another one later that week. I was confused about what was going on, because I still did not understand that I was having a panic attack.

I realized what was happening to me when I was driving home one night, and when I got home, I searched on the internet for the symptoms I was experiencing.

Again, as a guy, I figured I could just beat them myself by being "stronger" but that failed miserably.

Believe it or not, I went on like this for months before I got help. I didn't go to a professional, but relied on self help panic attacks books to get me through.

End Panic Attacks Tips

Through my personal experience let me share with you a few tips that have greatly helped me.

1. Before meetings or traveling in cars or airplanes, I don't drink caffeine, and only eat small amounts of bland foods.

2. If work is causing you stress (like mine was) try and change some things around if possible. I was a type A personality and I was driving myself WAY to hard!

3. If a relation is causing you stress, then you need to change it!

WHAT EVER IS CAUSING YOU STRESS - CHANGE IT!!!

You can end panic attacks yourself, but only if you are willing to try!

Self Help

I was big into self help, even before I had my panic attacks, so that is where I naturally turned when I tried to solve this problem on my own.

Having access to the large UCLA Medical Library, I read about 10 books on this condition. Sadly, most of them were more about unapplied research, or theory.

As this was going on, I was still having more panic attacks, on buses, in cars, and in meetings.

Out of frustration, I searched on the Internet one more time and found a program called Panic Away by Barry Joe McDonagh.

He has this unique method called the One Move Technique, which as a guy I thought was cool. It is a very unique technique, one that in all my reading, I have never seen before.

I was able to end panic attacks a short time after I found this book. It took me some time to master the technique, but I did it.

Panic Away, is a highly recommended resource. If you have tried everything like I did, then check it out.

Thanks,

James McHale
