So if you're looking for some better panic attack tips
here are 5 of them that I believe have helped me the best, and
have helped me prevent and get over my attacks. Remember
everyone's situation is different, and their panic attacks are
often started by different triggers.
So without much further ado, here are my top 5 panic attack
tips that you can start using day. I hope they help you as much
as they have helped me over the years.
1. Understand What They Are
Firstly, you should be trying to learn as much as you can
about panic attacks and what they are. This can help you
tremendously to realize that you are not going to die and that
you'll stay in control of your body the whole time.
Often what makes panic attacks so fearful is that people
don't know what's going on with their bodies and what will
happen to them. By learning that panic attacks happen too many
people and that you will be okay, often makes their severity
and frequency much less.
2. Identify Triggers
One of the best panic attack tips is trying to figure out if
you have any triggers. Triggers are situations or objects that
can cause you to have a panic attack.
While many people often seem to have panic attacks at any
time, some people are able to identify their own personal
triggers. These triggers could involve meeting people in a
certain office conference room, meeting a certain person, or
consuming a certain type of food.
One of the best ways to go about learning more about your
triggers is to start keeping a daily journal about what your
eat, what you have done, and what sort of panic attacks you
have encountered.
3. Exercise
I found that exercise is one of the best things that have
helped me. Just 20-30 minutes of exercise a day can really help
relieve stress and release positive endorphins into your
body.
Endorphin release is what they call a "runner's high" and
can be a great way to lift your mood and put life into
perspective.
4. Eat Smaller Meals
One thing that I've found to help control my panic attacks
is to eat smaller meals. This is not one of the more common
panic attack tips you'll find, but I found that it's helped
me.
I especially try to eat smaller meals if I'm going into an
important meeting, or meeting someone important. For some
reason heavy meals sit in my stomach and tend to make me a lot
more nervous under certain situations.
5. Eat Healthy
Although you should eat healthy anyways, people under stress
need to be even healthier. You should try and take a
multivitamin every day and try to eat more fruits and
vegetables.
I have reduced my caffeine intake, you should think about
doing the same because this can help you dramatically. I hope
these panic attack tips will help you like they have helped
me.
Remember everyone is different, which is why I think the
most powerful tip is to start a journal and see if you can spot
any patterns developing around your panic attacks.
